Fridays fabulous five

I am borrowing my neice's idea of Fabulous Five. I am not sure of the prerequisite to this other than she posts five fabulous things from the week on Fridays. I think it is a great idea and it keeps you on the thought of gratitude
So here goes
#1- Monday- For family home evening we did Fathers Blessings for each of the kids. We usually do this right before school starts. I am not sure why we didn't do this then, but 2 weeks late is better than never at all. I am amazed, as always, at the love Heavenly Father has for each of my children. He knows them so personally and they were each given counsel that was specific for them and in line with the school year they are facing and the decisions they are making. It is a great opportunity for service on behalf of Kris who is always willing to give a fathers blessing. I am grateful to him for this and I love sitting and listening and feeling of the spirit as this happens. We had the opportunity to talk with Nate after and he was able to begin to get some answers he has been seeking.
#2- I love my kids. Each of them is unique to this family, they each have their strengths and weaknesses and each of them contribute in a way that cannot be replaced by another. We have a very peaceful home. Each of my kids has a way to show respect to their siblings and to their parents. Do we have arguments? yep, do we raise voices? sometimes. I am glad to say those are not frequent experiences here. I appreciate each of them and what they contribute.
#3This week I got a very part time job....I mean, I could probably do 2 other jobs and still do this one, but it will be fun and will get me out of the house for a couple of hours a week. I am going to be a greeting card merchandiser for American Greetings. I have 5 stores I will be over and I will just have to maintain them and then make sure they are ready for each season and stock cards as needed. A pretty stress free job and very flexible and yet I can contribute a little to the family fun fund!
#4 I am think it is fabulous to have a husband who is always coming up with new ideas. He has planted that seed in me and now I find my brain working that way. Coming up with ideas for businesses. I just came up with a new one this morning that could be a blast, more on that one to come.....but it is so fun to go through the creative process with him and to bounce ideas off of him and to feel inspiration coming! I love it!
#5. This past sunday Kris, Caitlyn and I were asked to speak. Our topic was the song "a poor wayfaring man of grief" I love this hymn. I was so excited to delve into it even further and to go through the process of writing a talk. I love the inspiration that comes and the lessons I recall and the ones I learn. We had lots of feedback from ward members and we were able to invite the spirit and hopefully others were taught by the spirit!
Thats it for my friday fabulous five. I think this is pretty addicting!
Thanks Sara for being such a great example!!
