Missionary mom

Nick has been at the Provo MTC for almost a week. 5 more to go. *unless his Visa comes sooner, then he will go to Sao Paulo. He sounded a bit overwhelmed which is normal in the first 24 hours. You think the day will never end and you are thrust into a language you don't know. Total immersion. I  would find that overwhelming. Nick was promised in the blessing he was given as he was set apart that he would learn the language quickly and efficiently. He just has to hold on to that.
We are blessed to have him serve at this time.
Love my boy, miss him like crazy. I was pretty weepy the first few days, but I am feeling stronger and better now. It helps to finally get that first letter.
We need to make sure as a church family we are praying constantly for these young men and women. We know they are pretty prepared but they will encounter things that will be beyond their experience and capability, but they will be sustained and preserved and will see miracles happen.
