Hi everybody this is Nick Polson
The other day I say this documentery about the Albatross.
It was a verry interesting show and it brought to light some verry
interesting things about pollution. it stared out talking about how
plastics are good because thay last along time but people are using
plastics on things that that you may only see ond use once in your life.
then the documentery shows you the Albatross and it shows that some
of the babys are dying off and they are trying to figure out the cause.
Thay end up tracking the animals and they figure out that the Albatross
are feeding their babys plastics that have been cought in currents
that are in the ocean. Because the Albatross are feeding their babys
pastics it is clogging their digestive systems and the babys slowly
starve to death. So the next time you are at a store think carfully
about what you buy. Then ask your self is it necessary to buy that?

This is so powerful. I thought the same things as I was watching that with you. I look around now and think...oh, how could they package that differently so we don't use plastic. I have made the resolve to not use plastic grocery bags anymore! yeah mom!!
I think I saw the same documentary. I was shocked to see the contents of thier stomachs. It was really eye opening. When you look around it is suprising how much stuff comes wrapped in plastic, and a lot of it is unecessary. I have noticed the most yougurt cups only have foil lids anymore, so that is a start, but we still have a long way to go.
Nick, you're gonna save the world! I will pay attention to what I buy this week! hanks for the heads up. Have you ever seen "An Inconvenient Truth"? I had to watch it for school this semester ... you might find it interesting.
