Well, I made it to 5:30 AM this morning...I actually slept from 11 until now! YEAH..but I am really still very tired. I told Kris last night that I "hit the wall"...meaning...I am done. I am ready for him to be home and it looks like he will still be there about 2 more weeks. So...I am trying to occupy myself. My boys are both going on a campout with scouts tonight..this one should be fun. They are going up to a Cabin by Nordic Valley Ski Resort. (up in the "valley")They are sleeping up there and then sledding all morning and into the afternoon tomorrow...so it a girls night out for Caitlyn and I. She will be tired, as they have dinner theater rehearsal until about 6. So, maybe dinner and a movie..or maybe I will wake her up with dinner and bowling...or something insane like that....any ideas?? Post them quick!
And let me know...those of you with husbands that travel.....what you do when you hit your wall. When you dont think you can go another day without seeing that man...without the support of your husband at home...I guess it is down on my knees for me! I do feel the spirit of the Lord with me and I am soooooooo grateful for children who laugh and do really silly things to keep me occupied! I love them. Nate was hillarious last night...just silly things and sayings!
Ok..I am going back to bed for another 45 minutes and then I do have to get up and start my day!
Oh..and a BIG HUGE THANKS to Deanna for calling me and supporting me and letting me know it is ok...because she does this all the time! How great for you to have Dan home on a week night!
love to all!

Cheryl ... have fun tonight ... I think the bowling thing sound GREAT!
When Curt is away and I hit the "wall" I rely on friends (well I did when we lived in Utah) as well you know. I would just take some time and flop on your or Deanna's couch sometimes that adult contact is all I need to get through...I also gave myself a break and said ..."okay guys we're eating out tonight" or "lets get all our comfy stuff, some good junk food and watch a movie" I would usually fall asleep but that was a good thing as I cant sleep with Curt gone.
One other thing I do when Curt travels (now that I dont have babies to care for) is I start a project ... something creative ... whether it is writing a song, a short story, scrap booking, redoing a closet, whatever ... just something and something I LIKE to do. Well that's all I have ... remember, I am just a phone call away NIGHT OR DAY!!! love you TONS
oh, and you have this one down but I always seem to pray and read the scriptures alot more when curt is gone and it helps tons to bring peace to my racing mind and heart :)
Hey Cheryl,
It is so hard when you get to that breaking point to have to keep going, especially when you know there isn't a break in the near future! I make sure that I get some sleep (take a nap some time today), do something to get my body moving...even if it is 25 jumping jacks...and take a few minutes to meditate (pray, read my scriptures and get back in touch with myself) It's also great to talk to someone! I'm just down the road! Love ya!
Deanna
I'd say you must be exhausted! Even sleeping from 11-5:30 doesn't sound like much. You and Caitlyn should go live it up tonight. Have you been to the Junction in Ogden? They have an arcade, Fat Cats Bowling, a movie theater (you can eat dinner while you watch the movie...it's great!) and they have the Ifly / skydiving machine and the surfing. They are really expensive to do, but it's pretty cool to watch. We're keeping you guys in our prayers. Know that you have a huge support system behind you!
Ok. I am soooooo blessed to have amazing friends who love me and really know when to call or email or who all say just the right thing! I love you all and am grateful to be so very very blessed!
I am taking time today to a make a dress for Caitlyn, to scrapbook and hopefully to re color my hair!
And to pray and read and take a really HOT shower and relax!
I will post what Caitlyn and I do on our date!
